Depends.If you like Cheez whiz as the cheese Geno's or Pats is the most famous but a lot of out of towners are sickened by the looks of it.I'm a Tony Lukes guy but I usually get the roast pork sandwich with broccoli rabe.Its got sharp provolone on it and its unbelievable.

Yeah, I was watching a Extreme Home makeover and they were in Philly, doing a "which Cheesesteak is better, Geno's or Pats" and I'll admit, it looked vile. Course, we don't have fast food cheesesteaks here.

I'm an american cheese guy.Cheese whiz is so manufactured that I can't do it on regular basis.90% of the places in Philly do it with american cheese.The cheese is kind of overrated anyway.The bread is what makes the difference.Most good places get theirs from some local italian bakery.
Pats is the place where you must speak english to order.
