Pretending to be something you're not on a message board, and then bragging about pulling such a great prank, isn't really very funny. It's sad. It's living your life in a virtual world instead of the real one. It's having a need to be deceptive, but being too much of a pussy to be deceptive in real life, to real people. It's heckling perfect strangers while secretly needing their approval.

It's attention seeking behavior that is normally abandoned in childhood. And it's pathetic.

My point is that internet forums are based on an honor system. There is general assumption that you're not full of shit. We believe what is posted because we don't have any information to the contrary. Taking advantage of an honor-based system is fucking pathetic, any way you slice it.
