I once had a friend put himself into a mental hospital..

He was on acid though.. Took him over a week to get himself out.

Once you are in there it's hard to get out. You have to prove to them you are sane.

Depends on your job and how much they contribute to it. For my wife and I, it only costs us $70 a month for full coverage.(That's medical and dental incase you didn't know)

It's actually not that different here - we pay for health care too, but I don't think it's as much as you do. We pay about $30 a month for basic care (regular DR. visits and hospital stays). It costs extra for dental/vision/psychological/physiotherapy treatment.

I think the main difference is that you are fucked if you can't afford health care. We subsidize here. You can't afford it? You don't pay for it.
