I could try, but I am afraid of what could happen to you, what with atrophy having set in and all.

my buddy and I were just discussing our fantasy football draft strategies. You know some jerk-off will draft Ricky Williams with too high of a pick. I would pick him up in the 6th round. maybe...I thought Manning was the clear number one, he felt it was Culpepper...LT is the number one running back and Moss the best receiver...There is a definite grey zone on really good running backs, after LT, you have maybe E. James and J. Lewis, Alexander is good...Marshall Faulk will have a comeback year and will be a great sleeper pick, we both felt that Priest Holmes, (while still a first round pick) may be on his downslide...tons of comparable good tight ends this year, so be patient...
Strategy
First four rounds, unless I can get Manning, go RB, RB, QB, WR or RB, QB, RB, WR...in the round when everyone starts grabbing TE's, grab another good RB reserve or starting receiver...
blah, blah, blah

I've been trying to figure out where to draft Sidney Crosby in a fantasy hockey league (keeper league starting from scratch).

J.J. Arrington will be a great sleeper pick. I'm also going to try to pick up Ron Dayne with my 6th RB pick (14 team league, 18 round draft).

I agree with your Arrington assessment. Ron Dayne can suck a fat cock.

Anyone grabbing LT is going to be sorely disappointed. The guys is due for an injury or an off year.

You'd make a great pre-2004 Red Sox fan.

I'm a homer, I'll admit it. Fuck though, I could pick up 1,200 yards in Shannahan's system, and the palycalling would be a lot like what he was used to with the Badgers.
He'll probably start the season 3rd on the depth chart if he's lucky--but so did Portis 3 years ago.

You have to figure a guy who had to more or less carry a team for 3 years and carried the ball as much as he did is not going to get as much life out of his legs as another guy. Unless LT ends up being a Marcus Allen type long term back, odds are he will be done after this year. That is just the way the works.

Always waiting for something bad to happen...Looking on the downside, not the upside.

Ah, I see. That would mean was a fan expecting the worst. I hate the Chargers. I am wishing this on them. So I would be more like a Yankee fan, circa now.

Take a serious look @ Ben Watson and Daniel Graham. If they both stay healthy you're going to see some major production this year.

I can imagine that hockey would be very hard to draft. Some people are saying Karyia is leaning towards signing with Pittsburgh.. He would do well playing with Lemieux.
I will not discuss fantasy football until our league drafts. I do however have a keeper league draft starting monday. Its not a traditional keeper league. You start out with a $1000 cap. You then auction bid on players. You have to have 31 players on your roster and once you win the auction on them you must sign them to a 1,2,3,4, or 5 year contract. If you cut anyone you only get half their salary back towards your cap...
not sure how that will work out.
Astros are kicking some serious ass. Hopefully they can meet up with the braves in the first round again this year.
