(CNN) -- No, that guy who always raised his hand in civics class didn't make the list. Neither did your kid sister.

But Geraldo Rivera, David Blaine, Leona Helmsley, Bobby Riggs and Arthur Schopenhauer did manage to crack the list of "The 20 Most Annoying People in History," as announced by the editors of mental_floss magazine. The list appears in the magazine's September-October issue, now on newsstands.

The list did not discriminate against occupations or political parties. Failed presidential candidates Aaron Burr and Eugune V. Debs both made the list, along with actual failed president James Buchanan. Fictional character Olive Oyl is No. 13 and nonfictional literary wife Hadley Hemingway is No. 8.

Surprisingly not included (though his photograph accompanies the article): Carrot Top.
