Tayshaun Prince held Pierce scoreless until the final five minutes of the first half (of tonight's 115-100 Detroit win). Pierce said last week that he did not think Prince was a "great defender."

Unfortunately I was in class and only able to look at the box score as the game went on, so I didn't see him shut down. Pierce usually does pretty well against "shut down" defenders, so good on Tayshaun.
Ricky had a pretty solid first half, who was on him? Thoughts on the young dudes?

Ricky was guarding Rip, he had 25 points, 9 in the 4th I think. Boston played well, but Detroit's poise showed up in the 4th quarter. I watched it via bucket by bucket on ESPN.com.

Rip or Chauncey...not sure. They played their worst first half since Sheed joined the team.

its preseason, big deal. ESPN.com has them as a No. 4 seed in the tourney. Brandon Rush is the real deal. He stays in college for 3 years he'll be 10 times the ball player his brothers are.

The Rush bothers are jokes, thats why none of the bigtime schools fought over him.
