so i run out at lunch cause I need 2 things, food and a new pair of boots.
apparently my old hunting boots sprung a leak from my wife jambing them in between some stuff in the attic...so I run in to grab a pair of new ones..got them in hand, head to the checkout and there's like 15 people in line....they are training an actual retard to run the cash register....blind leading the blind if you ask me.

my favorite thing now is checking out at Home Depot or Lowes or some other store. You swipe your AmEx card and put it back in your wallet, then the cashier says, "I need to see your card". So you get it back out. They want the last four digits from the card and type it into their register. Why the fuck won't the card reader read all the digits? I know it must be reading all of the digits. Why does the fucking cashier need the same last 4 numbers that the card reader just read? They go to all of this trouble to speed things up, and then they throw that into it.

Its like an automatic door that opens up and then shuts before you get in so that you have to open it yourself. What's the fucking point?

The four #'s on the front?Ive never had them ask for the back.

When people steal your credit card say at a diner they swipe it in a device thats capable of storing multiple cc #'s and later feed the info on the magnetic stripe into another device that can reproduce the card. The 4 numbers are an extra security precaution that isnt listed on the magnetic strip.

Some places ask for those printed numbers on the back, but most of them now want the last four digits from the front. the raised numbers.

I wouldn't give out the security digits out...I mean it's the only thing that proves that you have the authentic car within your hands...with the swipe and the last four digits you can do everything...and what are you going to do if some dude in uzbekistan buys one year of pron using your cc ?!? nutin I tell you.

Now they ask you those numbers because possibly the system doesn't record the full swipe so that some bad cashier couldn't do a copy of the register roll to get a bunch of cc's ...but I suspect that those
