you guys have any background on Arlen Specter?


I heard on the radio this morning that he's got some major interest in Comcast, and may just be butting heads w/Goodell because of the whole NFL Network thing.

or is he just a disgruntled Eagles fan?

should he be worrying about more important things?



I guess the main question is whether or not he's an upstanding guy or just a trouble maker?

He's an asshole.It's got nothing to do with the Eagles.He wants to make headlines.He waited for the superbowl so he could get the most publicity.He could be doing Comcasts dirty work.

I might be biased.When he was DA of Philly he brought charges against my grandfather who was at that time the Mayor of Philly's campaign manager.He accused my grandfather of using his contacts to inflate the price of a pier that he owned that he sold to the city.He died during the trial of a heart attack.

wow, that sucks dude.

obviously if anything new comes to light (taping the Rams' walkthrough? shit...) I'll be pretty ashamed, but I'm not really sure what to make of this now.

I can see congress getting involved in MLB, with the trickle down effect steroids have on america's youth, etc...but I just don't see what business Specter has worrying about this. Yeah the NFL has the anti-trust exemption, but doesn't he have anything more worthwhile to worry about?
