I'd try to hide.I was with a girl for 7 years and I would absolutely run for the hills if I saw her first.To much baggage.
Others I smile and say good to see you.Shake the boyfriends hands while thinking "yea I fucked your girl in the ass and then dropped her".
Depends on how it ended I guess.I was out in my town yesterday with my head on a swivel because I was afraid to run into a girl I just stopped calling.

Too much relationship baggage, or personal baggage?
Most of my ex's don't recognize me. So, that helps.

Both baggage.There were some really intense personal situations going on at the time.Its just not something I'm in a rush to revive and would avoid it if possible.

I came from a small city in redneck Alberta. I used to have big hair and dress like a skid. This carried on til I met Jimmy (who told me I had "small town girl" written all over me). Since then, I've cleaned up and am considerably hotter. :d

No, it wasn't Jimmy per se. I moved from small city to big city and I realized I still looked like a smarmy small town kid. I met Jimmy a few years after moving here.
Pre 1998- I had big, ugly unruly mousy brown hair. I dressed in baggy clothes and plaid shirts daily. I never left the Nirvana era until after 1998.
So, I've run into a few ex's and people from high school, and not many recognize me.

In all honesty, it was a flaming hairdresser that made me rethink it.
In my old office building, there was a salon downstairs. All the guys are flaming gay in act, but they are all married and have kids. Anyways, my coworker got her hair done there and I liked it. so we made an appt., and went down there.
This stylist (Ricardo) gets me in the chair and I shit you not, this is what he says:
picks up my hair "Do you want to look like a triangle head for the rest of your life? You look like your head is a fucking triangle! Do you think that's hot, Ms. Triangle head? Fuck. The only triangle hair you should have is betwen your legs and even then, I'd give you some tips on that. Do you like oral sex? If so, lose the triangle there too. Now, when can you come back?"

Yes, I did. I'm not typically bothered by sexual conversations, but these guys made me blush all the time. I think it was because they talked about this stuff while there was an old lady or middle aged professional man sitting in the next chair. Ricardo's brother, Mico, was the one who ended up doing my hair. Out of the blue, he says "I know how to give good oral sex. You don't lick right on the clit, you lick just beside it." He practically yelled it.

When I was in college I used to run into my high school sweetheart on occasion. We dated over a year between our junior and senior year. It was never uncomfortable though. She was burnt so it I was glad we split.
My other ex was a psycho and I'm glad I have never crossed paths with her again.
