the stimulus isn't going to be that big, so i guess a pc would help most.

Infrastructure like roads and bridges.Schools, Prisons and Hospitals if only to help out my business and those places produce jobs.I wouldnt put to much into new housing since there is a serious glut of places on the market.

I'm moving next week and Peco(power co) sent me a $600 check out of nowhere for some deposit me and my roomates had to lay down 4 years ago.I'm not sharing it with my ex roommates.I'm buying a new bed.Good times.

Even though we had been planning ahead here for this stimulus to go through in our transportation department, we are about to boom with the addition of other infrastructures like water, sewer, drainage. It's good to be making our way of living better and rake in cash, unlike the oil men who are making our way of life worse while raking in cash.

Its been decades since we did major road and bridge projects so I think its a nobrainer.We've got a lot of projects bidding but a lot end up on hold or have trouble getting anyone to bid on it because the GC is afraid the lender behind it will go out of business or pull out after all the work it takes to get to that point.I see most of the work thats bidding going forward because it is needed and the longer they wait the more expensive it will be to build.
One of the manufacturers I deal with sent me an article showing that amtrak is about to release a whole flood of money to update their tracks and stations.
Its crazy how much money we gave to the financial industry so this kind of spending should be a welcome change from throwing money at guys buying private jets.

I laid off my first employees on Monday of this week. Only 7, but that was the hardest thing I have ever done. Sitting there with my partner and two foreman with all these names on a board and who we get rid of, who we keep, where we move people. Made me think how impersonal it all is. Just the mood of the moment could cost one person a job and keep another one less deserving.
Sucked. I hope I don't have to ever do that again.

Thats a bitch.I know a shitload of companies laying people off.One major wholesaler I deal with stock went down 30% in a day because of the residential forecast and they've laid off 50 people just in our market.A whole customer service division I deal with in Ohio got laid off since they are moving that to New Jersey.Its pretty depressing out there.I used to kind of take my job for granted because there was always other options out there but this period has made me realize I'm pretty lucky.

Wichita, Kansas has been one of the last places for all this to hit but it's come to a head the past couple of months. Cessna announced they are laying off 4000 of its 16000 employees here in Wichita. It's quite a big deal. Wichita is going to suffer big time because nobody will be buying new aircraft for a while.
Flump, you're gonna benefit huge from this stimulus.

Friday the 17th I laid off 6 employees, Friday the 24th I laid off 4 more. Now this Friday I have to let 10 more go. I'm dreading tomorrow. It takes everything I have inside to not cry when talking to each one of them. Over the past year I have let well over 50 employees go. it hurt me each time and it took a lot out of me. I feel for you.

If you watched 60 minutes on sunday you would have seen the lady from DHL who was in charge of actually laying people off got laid off herself.Watch out.
