I have been forced to dial in and listen to a conference call. I have no idea what the topic is, who these people are or what I am supposed to be contributing. My boss thought I should be here, but to be honest these people all sound like Charlie Brown's parents.

I did a conference call a few months back for a product launch with about 40 people from around the country on the call.One guy forgot to mute his phone so we were treated to him saying "Why don't you get that sweet ass in gear and get me some coffee?" and "Tell him I'll call him back, I don't know how long I have to listen to this bullshit".The thing is unless you knew the guys voice you couldnt tell who it was.

I usually never ask questions and just work on things at my desk while its going on.Its joke really, some assholes job is nothing but setting up conference calls to show how busy they are.All of it could be taken care off in an email.
