Medicare.... bankrupt

Medicaid.... bankrupt

Social Security... bankrupt

Post Office.... bankrupt

At what point do we honestly believe that government can run anything correctly? I mean does anyone honestly believe government can run health care better than any of the other programs?

So whats your solution?Do you get that some things will be a net loss almost no matter what way you do it?You have to weigh the benefits (commerce generated via the postal service, people not dying in the streets) with the costs.

Also medicaid is bankrupt partly due to the fact the expansion the republicans passed under your boy GWB who never had any plans on how to pay for it.

Again what is your solution?

I never assigned blame to any party. I simply asked at what point do we think that government can't run any programs?

whats the point of having a national train system? Its the same answer for your questions above.Would you like those programs cut or are you just a cry baby?

Someone with some superior intelligence explain this to me... - Anhil8tor - 03-09-2010

I guess I'm just a crybaby. I see Obama is below 50% approval and I am just wondering if positioning himself to this health care bill is good for him. I know you keep up on it more than me. Do you think its wise? Do you see SS, medicare, medicaid and the post office getting out of the doldrums?

Do you think everyone deserves a house... even if they can't afford one?

Someone with some superior intelligence explain this to me... - BIRD33 - 03-09-2010

Not passing healthcare will not be good for him. He'll look like a lame duck.

Why are you fixated on SS, Medicare and the post office? How did you ever expect those programs to turn a profit or even get close to that? They are programs that give money to the sick and elderly for the most part.

Do you think everyone deserves houses is the better question.Thats who you've been supporting over the previous administrations. Its comical that you complain now.Obama isnt the guy you need to look at for blame on that.

I'm not assigning blame to anyone. I'm not pointing fingers here.....just asking. I find it comical that all of these government programs are in the crapper and here we are debating whether or not we should have universal health care. I don't think anyone is owed anything. If you want a house... get an education or a trade and earn enough money to get one. If you want health care... get a job that offers it or pay out the nose for it... its a pretty simple choice.

I'll be surprised if health care gets passed. It seems like too much time has passed and it won't end well for him.

It probably seems simple from your ivory tower. Its a question of basic human rights when it comes to health care and its kind of ridiculous that the wealthiest country on earth can't provide a basic service to its tax paying citizens when other less wealthy countries have been doing it for decades.

You are luckier then 90% of the people in the country and 99% of the world based off where you were born and who you're parents are.Its beyond arrogant to just throw out there "its a simple choice" like everyone had the same starting point as you and were afforded the same opportunities.

That sums up the difference between most shit kicking republicans from democrats. You were born on third and act like you hit a triple.

Today I got a letter telling me that I will get a census in 1 week. I wonder how much it cost them to mail those to everyone.

I haven't bought stamps in over six months.

The post office will be history in ten years.

Cubans state run health care is performing sex changes at the governments expense! Something for us to look forward to if Obamamama gets his agenda passed.

Still more anecdotal information, but no one in my family mails letters anymore. I doubt it the average person could tell you what a stamp currently costs.

Ha!

I guess the government should help anyone that isn't happy. Free lipo, free face lifts, free abortion... no reason anyone should be unhappy right?

Wow that settles it.

I have no idea what a stamps costs either but my office sends out 20-30 pieces of mail a day (invoices etc..) and we have an automated stamp machine.I'm in an industrial park full of business's that do the same.

Its real powerful your family of shitheads don't use the postal service that often but just consider how most business's pay and invoice people via the US mail.
