Flump and Bird: Kerry Will Not Run In 2008
#41

Flumper Barflusterbutt Wrote:clearly, Saddam Hussein had been a real problem for the international community for more than a decade.

Five or six paragraphs down, end of the paragraph.

Try again dipshit. Your grasping.

What am I grasping at.He was a problem. She was told it would be any easy solution based on cherry picked intelligence. You could apply all the same terms to Kim Jong Il as far as being dangerous to the world but we won't invade because it would be a disaster like Iraq. She was mislead into thinking it would be easy and we would be greeted as liberators. You have to put the blame on the people who cherry picked the intel. If you don't believe they cherry picked then what is the scooter libby trial based on?

I'm the guy who actually cares that american people are dying to build the fantasy democracy in a place thats never had anything more than tribal wars for a 1000 years so cut the crap about me liking the amount of casulties. Its all about the bottom line.65% of Americans think the loss of life we've endured wasnt worth invading Iraq.If we we were told it was going to be like this we would never have gone. You can't get away from the "we will be greeted as liberators" quote because its all the overconfidence, lack of understanding of the region and general wishful thinking in a nutshell.I have a problem with Americans being sent to their death over wishful thinking.

I have a problem with people turning their backs on the troops and making their fight much more difficult than it needs to be.

How is it turning your backs on troops when all you want to do is get them out of harms way?So you really believe the media is responsible for the insurgency and not the fact that the 3 factions living there have been fighting each other for centuries?

Defending Iraq War, Defiant Cheney Cites 'Enormous Successes'

By Peter Baker
Washington Post Staff Writer
Thursday, January 25, 2007; Page A01

Vice President Cheney said yesterday that the administration has achieved "enormous successes" in Iraq but complained that critics and the media "are so eager to write off this effort or declare it a failure" that they are undermining U.S. troops in a war zone, striking a far more combative tone than President Bush did in his State of the Union address the night before.

In a television interview that turned increasingly contentious as it wore on, Cheney rejected the gloomy portrayal of Iraq that has become commonly accepted even among Bush supporters. "There's problems" in Iraq, he said, but it is not a "terrible situation." And congressional opposition "won't stop us" from sending 21,500 more troops, he said, it will only "validate the terrorists' strategy."

I love how the Democrats are creating all of these creative ways to sound like they are supporting the troops, all the while basically giving motivational speeches to the insurgents.
