Alright Obama, Let's get Osama

A team led by a researcher from the University of California-Los Angeles said that Osama bin Laden is probably living in a walled compound in the Pakistani town of Parachinar, near the Afghanistan border.

Population 500,000.

What did they base their "research" on?

The researchers based their conclusion on geographic analytical tools used to locate fugitive criminals and endangered species.
The theories used to determine bin Laden's whereabouts found that he would be in one of 26 towns within a 20-mile distance of Tora Bora.

CLA geographers started with the "distance-decay theory" to determine the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden. The theory predicts that bin Laden is closest to the point where he was last reported.

I didn't read the whole story, its in USA today.

Where he was last publicly reported, back in 2006 or some shit. Intelligence agencies wouldn't give them up to date info.

If I ever get lost, look for me where I was last reportedly seen. It took a team of researchers to come up with this?

They have also predicted that he will most likely be found in the last place we look for him. They based that on the "terminal result location pattern" theory.

And be careful how you make fun of military intelligence and stuff like that. When it was the Bush administration it was okay to call everyone stupid. Now you have to be more politically correct and assume they are probably right and if they aren't then they did their best.

what she said x a lot

I realise that I have a past to break with--an accumulation of inertia, wrong, foolishness, rot, junk.  A great need of clarification, of mindfulness, or rather, of no mind.  A need to return to genuine practice, right effort.  Need to push on the great doubt.  Need for the spirit.  Hang on to the clear light.
