I took just as many accounting, finance, and ecomoics classes in college that you did.

If you even went to college.

Joking me for pulling the knowledge card and then pulling it yourself, nice job cap'n contradiction.I havent seen one argument from you that made any sense as to why immigration is a big problem except that your daddy had to fill out some paper work that illegals didnt and some pure fantasy about the mexicans taking back the southwest.Wow me with your book smarts and tell me how if we have to pay minimum wage to undocumented workers we will be able to compete in a global market against the likes of china, honduras etc.. as far as making cheap goods. What happens to the middle class americans who worked for a company who was forced to move their manufacturing overseas?Do they start mowing grass I guess?

Do you support the activities organized for the 'Day Without Immigrants'? * 95421 responses
Yes, as long as there's no violence it's a peaceful way to show how vital immigrants are to the United States.

No, it's disruptive to the economy, and any illegal immigrants at those events should be rounded up and sent home.

Internet polls are always accurate.

And no, it was not a joke. The illegal immigrants are suing for fair wages, overtime, and poor working conditions. You may not see this up in PA, but it happens here in CA.

The illegal worker situation is probably night and day between CA and PA so I think its more in your face than it is mine so I think you are more frustrated by it than me.I think CA is lightyears ahead of the rest of the country as far as getting fair pay for illegals because on the east coast its non existent. To myself its simply a supply and demand issue. If we want to keep jobs here we need cheap labor to make it profitable.Otherwise we need new types of industry to take the place of jobs going overseas and creating that new industry is easier said than done.

I know I'm projecting, but can the car thieves, whores, and pimps protest now?

Btw, this has nothing to do with race, this has to do with breaking laws.

By this logic you are aiding and abetting a restaurant owner by eating at his establishment while his dishwashers are illegal. Why not put the blame on the operators of these businesses?Could it be its easier to blame the minority non english speakers?

I'm the daughter of an immigrant... neither Mexican nor illegal... he did it the hard way... HOWEVER, from a purely simplistic perspective... I would MUCH rather see US employers put Mexicans (and other immigrants) to work HERE, where they will spend at LEAST some of their earnings, than to send the work AND money to Mexicans (and other potential immigrants) to spend in their native country. Frankly, our current economy scares me to death, and we seem to be in denial. We have become an anorexic nation... nothing but skin and bones, yet we see a plump reflection in the mirror. Speaking of death... can ANYONE name another country as powerful and influential, where an ENTIRE family can sustain complete financial ruin because of ONE SICK member of said family? Confusedniff: I think that's coffee I'm smelling...

Perhaps influential, but hardly powerful... at least comparatively so.
