I was thinking about this. What would be the economic impact across the country and per city should the NFL shut down for a year. Imagine the ramifications across the board... TV deals, TV Stations, Stadiums, etc etc etc...
Didn't they say Lebron leaving cost Cleveland like 20 million or billion?

They said having Lebron adds a billion over time to Miami's economy.I don't know how you quantify that accurately. Its like those stats that come out every year on how much worker production is lost due to the NCAA tournament 1st round.
The NFL closing would certainly hurt Philly.Beer distributors, restaurants, hoagie joints all make a killing on sunday even though they are an hour from the stadium.

I just started paying for my sunday ticket this month...
NFL Network?
ESPN would hurt.
Think about New Orleans for example. People from Lafayette drive there on friday and spend the weekend there... go to the game on sunday and come home. They'd lose all that income. Its pretty huge.

They schedule the superbowl several years in advance, which city it will be in. Its going to be in Dallas (Arlington) next year. I'm sure they have the next 2 or 3 years scheduled. Now, if they shut down and it costs a full season, do they push all those cities back one year? Or do they just skip the city that got fucked?

Will Belicheat even be coaching when they decide to replace Brady?I doubt it.Once bradys done he's not going to wait to rebuild. At that age he'll probably want to focus on cheating at bingo or rigging bridge games.
