James Daye, basketball coach at McKinley High School in Buffalo and a member of the Tarheel basketball team in the mid 1980's, is in serious trouble. He has been accused of having sex with a girls basketball player. Another former player has come forward after reading about the current situation and admitted to having sex with Daye. She said, "I think I was enamored by, you know, he played at UNC, that kind of stuff."
That's not all he's been up to: Members of McKinley's basketball and football teams -- coached by Daye-- were placed in special-education classes so they got assistance to keep their grades up and remain eligible to play sports. As a result, students who would have legitimately qualified for special-education services didn't receive them.
