8 what is your thinking on Mccains plan to buy all the "bad" home mortgages so people who bought houses they can't afford can stay in them?Seems more like socialism than anything Obama has proposed.Why don't I go out and buy a house ridiculously over my price range and get the government to pay for it?

I think McCain has lost my vote. I'm not enamored with Obama like some and I don't like his idea of increasing taxes on the top level earners... but McCain looks and sounds absolutely terrible.

several families moved away
the land values went down, temporarily, but soon came back to their real value

Who here likes the idea of bailing out the Auto Industry?Does GM deserve to be saved for basically the sake of the jobs they provide to Americans?Does anyone actually believe that American cars will eventually be the best made cars in the world?If we bail them out now will they never need saving again?

fuck them. fuck the industry. this country hasnt bottomed out yet economically, and it has to. lets bail out an industry that failed to makes changes when they needed to, went to their knees in front of the unions, and basically got fat for years and now the market has determined their products arent filling its needs.

I agree.We make an inferior product that costs more to build.It seems like simple economics to me but the whole state of Michigan would be fucked.I think we just have to suck it up and let them go down like flumpers mother behind a gas station.It's going to happen eventually anyway.
