How long do you think they paid engineers to come up with the specs on this thing? I know their department has about 20 guys working for them. I also know they don't work for 6 bucks an hour. It takes those guys about 5 full working days to turn the tool around when it comes in. It takes alot more man power and money to run that tool rather than just a mud motor. When oil gets to where it is now, more people are going to use mud motors which is fine for land jobs.

My question is how long does it take Halliburton to turn a true profit on this tool?

Maybe there is a way to harness solar power and make it functional. Right now its not much use beyond powering a battery for a gate or the timer on a deer feeder.

One of the things I sell is rainwater harvesting systems for commerical buildings.Its the same principle.Big up front costs but over time its a no brainer because its pays for itself and then starts saving money every year for the end user.

The whole idea behind alternative fuel is looking for cheap versions of it.If some one comes up with something and still charges an outrageous price for it nobody will buy it since we are all set up with gas engines.Alternative fuel must provide an incentive to switch motor types or the inventor makes no profits.

No, they can still squeeze oil out of the old wells that were abandoned 40 years ago in Texas when oil goes over about $40.

$20 to $25 is the tipping point for shutting out producers that are not already in place on big producing wells in the US.
