So.. in reaction to this information, I have decided to ban some of the most vocal people. As you know... aprox 5 days ago, UJ .com was hacked and disabled for almost 4 days as a result of someone seeking revenge on the UJ network. While comments from these people were on another site, and may be nothing more than empty threats and vented frustration, I am in a position to not give people the benefit of the doubt. --I do not have the patience to deal with additional immature acts of malice, therefore, I'm not going to take the chance and banned their user ID's and IP addresses.

As I've said before... we're just here to have fun. --Yes, the moderators (and I) get a bit aggressive sometimes with site visitors, however, it is all in the spirit of trying to keep things running smoothly and I applaud them for their efforts.

(one final comment::: I don't read PM's and I rarely edit posts. --I did however, add a 'word censor' on the site that switches text automatically)

(if any of you have information about the person responsible for the hacking attack on .com last week, please send me a PM. --I might even offer a 'bounty' reward for the information. Or if you stumble across information about future attacks planned towards UJ... Please let me know ASAP so I can mitigate the risk. --I'm so sick of this bullshit, and hope these people will get tired of this, and just go away!.

You created this site. Not Leeman, not Beau, not Velvet. You chose to spread yourself too thin and allow people you assumed were capable to run your site. Anyone who has chosen to be a member here has done so on their own. There has been no strong-arming or threats.

Regarding the planned 'attack' you mention. You obviously didn't learn a thing from the last time you were 'attacked'. Do you remember thetrolls.com? Do you remember that 'attack' from last September? If you could pick a defining moment for your site and the change in attitudes that has taken place, wouldn't that be the moment? It was harmless, remember? It was about posts, not underhanded or backdoor hacking. Are you too self-absorbed to see that? Hackers and trolls are two completely different people.

You assume your site was hacked by "someone seeking revenge on the UJ network". Isn't that kinda presumptious? You also have allowed people to think I was behind this hack. You're a fucking prick. You know it wasn't me, and when they assume it was, you should stand up and fucking tell them otherwise. Besides, if it were someone who was seeking revenge, why would they attack .com instead of .net? Why wouldn't they go after the boards if it was revenge?

You can ban whomever you see fit. Hell, you've banned me 12 times already. Is it because I've done anything against 'board rules'? No. I know the reason, and you have just made it obvious by banning those members who have chosen to go to another site. By posting that thread in Site News, you just kicked your own ass and showed how immature and insecure YOU are.




A message to the lurkers:

Register your name. Use the same one from UJ if you wish. Choose something different and remain anonymous if you prefer. If you hated me there, feel free to hate me here. Guess what----you won't be banned. Butt heads with me, call me an asshole, spit in my face---guess what--you won't be banned. Post links for people to join another site---guess what--you won't be banned--and the links won't be changed out of jealousy.

Get it? This place is what you wanted at UJ. It's what UJ used to be, up until September when thetrolls came in. But the trolls weren't to blame. You were. The mods were. Hoover was. The trolls exposed UJ and embarrassed it. It's never been the same.

So, sign up, post pics, post stupid stories, post circle-jerk conversations, post emoticons, post opinions. Have fun.

The fact that 70 of you came aboard at once yesterday to check it out speaks volumes. Unfortunate side effect of that however, is that the guest traffic was heavy again today. That means there's some repeat customers. Customers that are lurking over there instead of clicking the ads here.

Don't play dumb by acting like you don't have the opportunity to respond just because it was locked either. Look at your own YJMLM and see if she was silenced. In fact look at your own YJMLM and see that she was one of the repeat customers. Difference is that she had the balls to register.

The really funny thing is that many of you are pointing out that we are just sitting over 'there' in chat-room mode, bashing this place---meanwhile I see two threads on page 1 here dedicated to 'that' site, with MUCH activity in them. Some of it from members of 'that' site, but you can't deny that many of you feel the need to respond to our misguided notions.
