A few weeks ago, they had indy car racing in Fort Worth and that chic "Danica" was the smash hit that everyone was talking about. Anyway, I heard the day after that it was the largest television audience ever for that race and it had 300,000 viewers.

300,000 viewers? Fucking Gilligan Island reruns get more viewers than that? How does that sport survive?

No, it was before that. I like F1 but too many people here don't like the fact that you actually have a pit strategy and there is very little passing. Does not help that until this year it was usually Schumacher against the track.

the tracks are just plain beautiful. The F1 Grand-Prix of Monaco is one of the most beautiful circuit of the world, there is too the nice long strip of monza, hockenheim in germany, that circuit is half into a forest....

Yes a lot of strategy, but it is pit, crew, pilots everything a big strategy the pilots cannot win without a good crew. Schumacher always winning (I'm a ferrari fan) was starting to be quite annoying...anyway now things have changed. But that thing wasn't a grand-prix.

I know, I understand all that. I am explaining why it is dead here. I like F1, I am a Ferrari fan too.
Remember this is a country that like NeckCar racing. How fast can you go around and oval. Don't get me wrong, they are some talented drivers, but there is little excitement except the crashes.

By the way I blame FIA and Michelin for the problem last weekend. I have heard some people blaming Ferrari for not backing the other 9 teams. But Ferrari has had tire issues all year, and you did not hear them asking for any special considerations.....
