I'm sure everyone's heard...Foulke to the DL, Schilling to the bullpen.
As you can imagine, opinion's 'round here are pretty segmented. Some say Schilling isn't ready/doesn't have the mindset or that he's better off waiting until he can start. Others say Schilling is still Schilling, and he's better than the junk we've had in the bullpen all season.
IMO, it's pretty clear Schilling can't be Schilling for 7 innings, but if he can be himself for 1 or 2, why not extend his "rehab" to the pen? I don't necessarily think he should close, but I'm excited to see how things turn out.
Johnny D had some interesting words, saying pretty emphatically that Schilling isn't ready and this is a bad move. He'd rather have Timlin or Arroyo closing games out while Foulke's out. It's important to note that Damon, Millar, Timlin, and Arroyo are in the same clique.
Should be an interesting few weeks. Yeah, and we've got our biggest division lead in several years.
