That's the way its starting turn out around here, thats why I won't step foot in one of those things. I live in a suburb of Wichita, roughly 6000 people, and its a 2 mile drive into Wichita from here. They're talking about putting in a Super Wal-Mart down the rode from where I live. Shits pathetic.

I'm guessing the average super walmart is roughly around 180,000 sq?...and it seems like they want everyone in the US to have one within a 50 mile radius of where they live....that's alot of damn wasted space...what ever happened to the walmart that was about the size of a grocery store?

Around here (suburbs of philly) they build them right next to the poorest apartment complexs. Its built in cheap labor and customers.Who's buying milk in there?Outside they have a bank of payphones always occupied with about 5 mexicans. In western and norhtwestern PA they become the town centers, its scary.

I try to avoid using them. They have become the company store and put smaller retailers out of business.

I grew up in a small town of about 6,000. Several years ago they got a Walmart there. I had a good friend whose granddad owned the only hardware/farm implement store in town. It was the only place you could buy things like lawn mowers in the town.

Anway, my friend said his granddad told him that he could buy lawn mowers cheaper at Walmart than he could get them wholesale from his suppliers.

I heart Wal-mart, especially the Super Wal-Mart. My favorite section is the fruit section. All the fruits, especially the oranges always come with Free fruit flies. And they don't charge for the extra weight of the dead ones or the ones crawling about inside!
I heart the spanish men working at wal-mart. Especially when they check out my ass and whistle and hollar at me in espanol. It makes me feel like a dirty, whore. Thanks Wal-mart!

For having worked in a big mall during nights and weekends while I was student this doesn't surprise me, "sales people" are kinda exploited.

Now just don't get surprised if they threat badly their people...everything got a price, if you cut it off you need to cut expenses too...

I realise that I have a past to break with--an accumulation of inertia, wrong, foolishness, rot, junk.  A great need of clarification, of mindfulness, or rather, of no mind.  A need to return to genuine practice, right effort.  Need to push on the great doubt.  Need for the spirit.  Hang on to the clear light.
