Well I have my yearly tuna trip coming up this weekend

The first one will be 12 hours.. leaving saturday at 4 am.

Last year we tore up the black fin.. i'm hoping to land a yellow fin this year.

we landed thirty something black fins... our yellow fin broke off after 2 hours of fighting it...

yeah.. boat is a 53' Hatteras

No weed. we bring beer but most don't drink because its hard work landing those big fish. you can fight some for 30 minutes... some for 2 hours or more..

weed makes me want to do nothing.. so I stay away. I'll start drinking beers on the trip back. it takes about 3 hours to get out where the blue water is.

That's a good sized boat. We normally head about 60 miles offshore in a 28 footer. Not much drinking because the capt'n hates people getting seasick but it's definitely a puffing crew.

The Poketini is ahi tuna mixed with avocado, some sort of salsa n stuff and all served in a martini glass.

Tuna fishing is work. plain and simple.

You can't drink if you want to fish. The tackle is huge. The reel is probably 10 to 15" depending on your captain. There aren't any beer holders on the edge of the boat either...
