He couldnt recruit that well at Kentucky so I don't see how he'll recruit any better at Minnesota. It's still better than what they have but don't think they'll be going to any final fours ever.

Mcroberts is smart to come out.If he comes out now he is a legit top 20 player which is guranteed money. If he stayed at Duke and had another up and down season like this one he'd drop to the second round. He should have left last year, he would have been in the top 10.

They made a trip in the early 90's. Minnesota isn't much of a sports college. Plus, they're better known for hockey than basketball. Trent Tucker and Kevin McHale are former gophers so there are some peeps that have had pro careers after leaving.
With that said, I do think the addition of Tubby to newly envigorated Big 10 is a huge gain. Teams like Ohio St and Wisconsin will benefit from a stronger schedule.
We'll wait and see what happens.

Its for sure an upgrade for UM.He'll get them to the tourney eventually so thats got to be good enough for the school.
If Florida gets knocked out early watch for Donovan to take the Kentucky job.

Since the Clem Haskins deal the UofM has been screwed on scholarships. No scholarships...and the team can't recruit....no recruits...and the team ends up with 9 wins. Even if they did rack up enough wins they weren't allowed to play in the post season.
Now that those sactions are over, and Coach Munson is gone. Tubby has some scholarships to work with and it sounds like the Athletic Director is going to give him free reign with the team, maybe the Gophers will become a respectable team.
