Boston had a pretty good draft (no thanks to the NBA shoving the lottery elbo deep in their ass). They've got a better chance of making the playoffs than the timberwolves.

I can see Garnett thinking if Lebron can get to the finals in the East by himself he should be able to get there with Pierce, Allen and himself. He's got to know they cant win it which is why I dont get why he doesnt hold out for a team like phoenix or play his contract out and then go to a real contender. If I was boston I'd be happy but not to much because of who you had to give up.

Watching Steven A Smith argue with Skip Bayless right now. Can I hope for a murder suicide?

BREAKING SPORTS NEWS: Kevin Garnett is leaving Minnesota after the Boston Celtics agreed to acquire the All-Star forward in a multiplayer trade with the Timberwolves, a Celtics official told The Associated Press today. Among the players who could be headed to Minnesota are forward Al Jefferson, guard Sebastian Telfair, swingman Gerald Green and center Theo Ratliff, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal had not been completed. The official also said the Timberwolves would get at least one draft choice. --Developing

If they give up Jefferson, Green, AND TWO #1 picks for 3 years of productive Garnett, I'll strangle myself.

This is the best the Celtics will look since Larry Legend palyed. Rejoice, Wooly. Drink a couple of Sam Adams Boston Lagers :bew: and start sprinkling yourself with pixie dust. The Celtics might play in June this year!
I'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours

What I don't think Ainge understands is that unless they win a title, no one cares. People in this town have seen the Pats win 3 Super Bowls, the Sox finally win a title, and remember when the Celtics were the toughest ticket in town. No one cares if they make it to the Eastern Finals ('sup Paul and 'toine?) or even make it all the way and get crushed by the West.
If they don't win everything, this is a disaster. Danny is trying to keep his job.

So who will their rotation consist of now?
They traded away all their young talent and will have a formidable starting 3... but who will the other 5 or 6 guys be?

Simmons' article made me feel a little better.
I'm guessing Rondo and Perkins will be the other starters, with Tony Allen and who knows what (Big Baby? Pruitt? Powe? Scalabrine?) coming off the bench.
