In a story related to the o*ne below, UNC has offered and (according to CarolinaBlue.com), received a commitment from North Gaston quarterback AJ Blue.

Blue was charged with resisting an officer Aug. 21, three days before his 18th birthday.According to the citation, Blue did not leave a residence o*n South Davis Street in Gastonia when asked by an officer, and resisted when the officer attempted to detain him.

He also was charged with making a threatening phone call in February, but that was dropped.

He also led the Wildcats to a 26-21 playoff victory against Gastonia Huss o*n Nov. 17, o*ne day after his brother Demarreo Beard was fatally shot outside a home in Gastonia.

orth Carolina suspended cornerback Jermaine Strong and offensive tackle Andre Barbour o­n Monday for violating team and university rules.
"It's disappointing to have to take this action," coach Butch Davis said in a statement. "Both players had a tremendous opportunity to help this football team."
Barbour, a sophomore, faces a Tuesday court appearance in Orange County o­n a misdemeanor charge of possession of up to o­ne-half of an ounce of marijuana, according to the North Carolina Court System's Web site.
No details were available o­n the reason for Strong's suspension.
"They're indefinitely suspended, and at some particular time in the future, we'll revisit each of those individuals," Davis said at his weekly news conference.
Andre's bio at Tarheelblue.com indicates that "he won a campus wide cooking contest in 2006." We're guessing his brownies were delicious.

Not that I would be surprised if either happened, but you have no clue about KU Football or anything going on in the Big 12.

They started a 2nd string D-back at Linebacker. Tons of injuries, something KU hasn't dealt with thus far. Did you know KU is tops in the nation in Penalty yards? Pretty sound team, just sayin'...you keep waiting for them to fold, but it hasn't happened yet.

what's sad is that if Texas and Mizzou' finish with more losses than KU, and KU loses one game and possibly the Big 12 Championship game, they'll both finish higher in the rankings and get a better Bowl. College Football is fucked.

I'm sure the major tv networks take the time to televise Big 12 games in SEC country...don't be dumb, you may have watched highlights on sportscenter, but thats about it.

A guy in my office is all pumped about Game Day this weekend because he went to Williams. He's taking tomorrow off and driving out there.
