should the league make the best players participate in the skills,dunk and 3-point contests?
nate robinson shouldn't even be part of the dunk contest. howard dunked a ball 12 freekin feet!!!
shaq was the best thing about this weekend.

Shaq was the highlight.

Dunk contest was a joke.Too many props and bringing out the 12 foot basket was a travesty.The guy is 7 feet tall.Wow he can dunk on something 2 feet above his outstreached hands.They need to be careful with this since you've opend the doors to all sorts of stupid shit being done like a guy dropping in from the ceiling to dunk.Its too circus like.Nate robinson jumped off a dudes back like that was hard.I've never seen a contest where the guy gets a ramp to help him dunk.It was entertaining but this dunk contest has nothing to do with the classic ones with nique and jordan.They need to get back to the pure dunk contest with no props.

Howard made all his dunks look too easy. He is an athletic freak. Being 5'9" and dunking gives you instant winnability.

Logistics of traveling would be a nightmare.Oil prices are wrecking the economy of south america.If you were going to do it a team right in the middle of europe would be the only way.Even then getting there would be nuts and that team would be burned out by the all star break.

NBA is certainly more PR motivated then any other sport.Take before the game tipped off they had Josh Howard come out and thank the fans for coming out etc..

Stern is no Bud Selig tripping over his own ass but it comes off so calculated it seems sleazy.

I wonder if Stern really wants Shaq to head back to LA to cement the best rivalry he's got in Lakers Celts for the next few years.Phoenix does need to move shaq because he absolutely was the wrench that fucked up the works for the suns.He's just not a run and gunner like Elton Brand wasnt for the sixers.The fact the Suns are seriously thinking of moving Stoudamire is a joke.If Shaq ends up on the lakers you know the NBA is fixed just like it looked fixed after Mchale traded KG to the Celts.

Even right now its not a far trade with jefferson playing great.They've only won 17 games and are in second to last.KG made his team a playoff contender almost every year.

Insanity.The wolves got the better offensive player?KG has averaged 20 and 10 for his whole career.Do you get how easy it is to score a lot of points and only win 17 games?Thats not the sign of a great player.Jeffersons being begged to shoot out there.KG hasnt lost enough to act like he's on the downside of his career compared to jefferson.

You can't say the wolves got the better of any part of the deal until the wolves make the playoffs which with Jefferson by himself is not happening.

The wolves got fucked on that deal.Its hard to go apples for apples when you trade an all time great but they still got fucked.Royally, no.Fucked still, yes.
