I felt like a homosexual the other night because I was watching the news and I thought of you. Explain to me this Pirate Party from Sweden that won a seat in the EU parliament. It seems that its attached to that Pirate Bay deal that you of course have nothing to do with since you're 100% on the up and up. How does a group whose main concern seems to be free music downloads get support from enough people to get a seat? Is this just some type of fad that will never sustain itself or is this a real party with a future? I don't understand how important a seat in that parliament is so maybe this isnt that big a deal but it did shock me when I saw it.

Well in Europe when the countries go to election the right wings and odd parties usually get a good share of voters.
Piratpartiet got all their votes because they want to protect the integrity of the individual fore most, this is by far revoked by the new IPRED law in Sweden. The new IPRED is like allowing the law and not only the law .. the blood sucking lawyer rights to collect and log your private internet habits.
So I guess the Pirate Party hit a nerve that made 87% of the Swedish population below 30 vote for them ...

I can see how it would register with the 30 and under crowd.I guess I would have voted for it too since I know we are basically handing over our information and personal interests every time we go online.We're wiretapping our own citizens with little outrage from people so I'm not sure America even grasps the issue you like you guys have.
That being said I'm not for total privacy on the internet.A guy who I've been dealing with in my industry for 12 years from up in North East PA just got 5 years for downloading kiddie porn.Didnt even tell his employer till the day he got sentenced and it was in the paper.

When it comes to kiddie porn there should not be any protection for the idiots.
Well there the law should focus more money on shutting down sites that spread that shit.
