Just got back from the ER.
I'll have to have surgery on both knees within 6 weeks....

It's a result of me going with my Ankylosing Spondylitis too long untreated......
My knees started locking and dislocate before x-mas.
Why do I keep this cesspool alive?

Leeman, I had a client once with the same condition you have. He was in pain all the time. Is it the same for you? How is treatment going?

I just googled your condition, that sounds damn painful. Surgery is going to suck but it's better than letting this progress even further, right?
Good luck to you, hope everything goes well and you can get some relief. I have a bad knee, nothing compared to your issues but knee problems suck balls!!

Unfortunately this happens a lot with AS. Knees and hips go because they're the hardest working joints in your bod. I'm assuming that your rheumatologist has said that physical therapy won't help at this point, and I'm also assuming that they'll test you beforehand to make sure you can actually undergo anaesthesia? People with AS as gnarly as yours can have pretty severe issues with that...
