I was reading at lunch today, that Obama's point man on that whole "Financial Bailout" program for those large investment companies and banks has discovered that immediately after the bailout money was paid out that several of the companies gave out enormous bonus packages to people within their firms. Like Goldman Sachs and several others.
I just don't get how that can happen.

Its bullshit for sure and if you read the paper Obama was furious about it but for legal reasons Goldman was obligated to pay those bonuses because of previously set up deals.

Only half of the stimulus money has been spent, yet that money will not be used to pay for this unemployment bill, which will just add to the deficit, in spite of the Paygo bill Obama claimed to want in February and which was passed and then "immediately bypassed." It has been speculated that democrats are reserving the stimulus money, regardless of the pain of the currently unemployed, for partisan purposes to reelect Obama in 2012.
Much of the stimulus money has been squandered on foolish projects, including:
$462,000 to purchase 22 concrete toilets for use in the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri
$3.1 million to transform a canal barge into a floating museum that will travel the Erie Canal in New York state.
$300,000 for a GPS-equipped helicopter to hunt for radioactive rabbit droppings at the Hanford nuclear reservation in Washington state.
$219,000 for Syracuse University to study the sex lives of freshmen women.
And:
$2 million to build a replica railroad as a tourist attraction in Carson City, Nev.
$1 million for A dinner cruise company based in Chicago to combat terrorism.
$500,000 to Arizona State University to study the genetic makeup of ants to determine distinctive roles in ant colonies;
$450,000 to the University of Arizona to study the division of labor in ant colonies.
$2 million to build a replica railroad as a tourist attraction in Carson City, Nev.
$390,000 to SUNY to study young adults who drink malt liquor and smoke marijuana.
$219,000 to NIH to study whether female college students are more likely to “hook up” after drinking alcohol
$72,000 to Wake Forest University to study monkeys using cocaine
$50,000 to the private philanthropic North Carolina Dance Theatre
$253,000 for Preservation of an insect collection at North Carolina State
$3 million turtle crossing in northern Florida,
$10 million renovation of an abandoned train station that has been shut for three decades 10,000 dead people getting Social Security stimulus checks.
$2.6 Million to Train Chinese Prostitutes to Drink Responsibly on the Job
