Did you grow up in a trailer? The only areas I see on the news that they go through are trailer parks.

actually, I grew up in a very wealthy neighborhood.. the tornado that hit there and killed those people in 92 took out a few trailer parks on the way...

What is weird, tho.. is a tornado hit there again in April '03, and took the same path as the one in '92..

but no one was hurt.. it just ripped a few second or third floors off of a couple houses..

Its weird when s. cali had some horrible weather recently, the city I live in and neighbooring cities were put on tornado watch. That was kinda creepy.

Well I suppose I shouldn't whine about the snow here so.

I would love being caught in a tornado one of theses days. If I were doing a "to do list", being caught on a tornado would definitively be on my top 5.

For the trailer park I suppose you mostly see them on tv because they are more spectacular to see "look everyting is messed up". Try that on good old stones houses and you've got only a few roofs broken. bad for tv (without considering the fact that at that moment old houses were build to stay for a long time, not like today's stuff tha t is considered more than an utility than a real house).

oddly enough some of the worst ones I remember never involved a trailer.
