Obama is signing the "Improper Payment" bill.

Last year, the government paid out money to dead people, fugitives, and prisoners that are not eligible for government benefits. They paid out $110 billion last year (a new record).

But, now, this new bill makes that "illegal" for the government to do that.

Obama said that this new law he signed should drop that number of improper payments by as much as $50 billion.

So, if everyone follows the new law, the government will only be paying out $60 billion this year to dead people, fugitives and prisoners.

I'm so in favor of this new law that I would be willing to support another new law to make it so illegal to pay government benefits to dead people, fugitives and prisoners that we reduce the amount paid to $0.

And save us $110 billion a year.
