Who will be the republican party candidate in the next election?
#21

There will be a grass roots movement to nominate Condi Rice. I think she might take it serious if it catches on.

To bad she's got that whole Bin Laden intelligence memo which she as national security advisor disregarded along with promoting faulty intellegence regarding iraqs wmd program thats gotten us into a war with no exit stategy and thousands of americans dead for no good reason to contend with.Otherwise she's in good shape.

I haven't read it, but its a book about if Condi ran against Hillary in 08. It was the first time I had heard her name mentioned. BUT....he did allude to the fact that there were going to be committees forming in each state to get her name on the ballots. I would assume it will be sort of like when Perot's people started.

I personally don't think she will run. I agree that the miscalculations in Iraq have damaged her worse than anyone knows. Same with Powell, but at least he got out and probably won't do any more public offices.

This Dick Morris guy is pretty savy when it comes to predicting politics. I was never much of a Clinton fan, but I always thought that Dick Morris guy was pretty brilliant in the things he did to help Clinton get elected.

BTW, he hates Hillary for some reason.

And weren't you one of the fukkers that laughed at me when I told yall that there would be no where near 10,000 dead bodies found in New Orleans. I put the number close to 1,000.

When will I start getting the much needed respect that I have earned around this palce?

I am not certain it will matter who the republicans choose. The Dems are going to roll out Al Gore or Hillary Clinton. They just don't get it.

I know what you're thinking now. You think we're all gay, don't you? Think we're all just a bunch of deviant lifestyle-living same-sex having motherfuckers, am I right?

He's got a hardon for hillary most likely because he feels like he was undermined by her when he was forced out of the Clinton camp.Morris is no doubt a smart guy but one thing you need to keep in mind when you read anything he says its that he's a career political consultant who isnt looking to retire soon so I think he knows he's on the outs with the Clintons and is trying to cozy up to any of her possible opponents. One weird thing about him is he has a documented foot fetish, he's into toe sucking or some wierd shit like that so who knows whats in that noggin of his.Im sure condi by name recognition alone could get on a couple of ballots but I cant see how america if it hasnt been ready for a black president or a woman president how it could be ready for a black woman as president.I just dont see the red states getting behind her at all.I think you are starting to see republicans bail on the president in order to save their own skins in the next election so I dont see anybody seriously pushing her with all the failures she's associated with.I dont want hillary to run for president not because I dont like her but to many people see the name clinton and automatically hate.I dont think a divider can win the next election.

Do you really think Al Gore would have been worse than Bush?I know Gore is a wooden blowhard but Bush made some eternal life altering decisions for Americans thats ended up horribly. The problem with politics is the us Vs. them mentality.I'll be happy when McCain wins.

Actually, if McCain would get him somebody to mold his personality and campaign (ie. Dick Morris, Karl Rove, or that raving Cajun loon that Clinton rolled out when he needed him) he would have a pretty damn good chance.

I'm like Bird, this next election is going to be about bringing everyone back together again. The parties are more divided than ever. McCain, for some reason, has managed to bridge the gap fairly well. He just needs some help with his charisma.

But, the first names to get mentioned are always the ones that die out before the first caucuses are held ('sup Howard Dean?). Speaking of Dean, he is going to be another reason the Dem's are going to have a tough time of it. He will dummy the whole thing up so bad, they won't have a chance regardless of who is running. Personally, I think the dems are going to use Dean as a barking dog for a year or two and then shit can his whining image.

You certainly like to read into what I write. I am saying that Al Gore's antics at the end of the last losing effort are easily brought forth. The Dem party needs fresh blood. They need to get a real direction. Going back to the well is not a good strategy for them. They are a joke.

I concur about McCain, I voted for him once before and I will do it again. I like that guy a lot.
