Most of the Republicans I know care about the environment. Not to a tree hugging level, but they care. I am crazy, but that is not important. I think the increases we have seen could be explained by natural cycles, but like I said, I still see it as a problem.
I know what you're thinking now. You think we're all gay, don't you? Think we're all just a bunch of deviant lifestyle-living same-sex having motherfuckers, am I right?

We know this ain't GWD, he does not know the word insolence.

the problem is that now it's maybe too early to take measures to fight the "global warming" but not too late to act in such a manner that those aren't worse than expected.
So far global warming will prolly produce this kind of effect :
1. changing of weather conditions in many areas -> creation of deserts, less rains or much heavier rains (depending of the regions)
2. change the coastal lines, the ice caps melting will make the whole sea rise, while it's not a big matter for a country like the us (you'll mainly loose some cities like NY) it will be dramatic for smaller more fragile countries (bengladesh for example) this will create a HUGE flow of desperate people flewing away their country/regions because she just become impossible to live. Basically you'll see new kind of wars sprouting, no more "I hate you/I want your stuff" but more "we don't have a choice, we need your country, we don't have a home anymore we'll fight until we'll die".
3. For example in europe the weather conditions are expected to get a dramatic chilling (more snow for us), doesn't mean that we'll end up like "father xmas land" but rather very long winters (ask the boss what he has to say about "snow").
This will "redesign" the whole earth, places that were good for producing food won't be anymore, other will....
I tell you global warming is a major risk not only for the fact that it's not really interesting to destroy our environment (some kind of collective suicide through ignorance/greediness if you want my 2cents) but rather because it will shuffle the "cards". who will receive a shitty game, who will be busted out of the table ?

I agree. These thing would happen without any input from man. It is the evolution of the planet. We may be hastening the process somewhat ( depends on which expects you consult).

Oil: Exxon Chairman's $400 Million Parachute
Exxon Made Record Profits in 2005
April 14, 2006— - Soaring gas prices are squeezing most Americans at the pump, but at least one man isn't complaining.
Last year, Exxon made the biggest profit of any company ever, $36 billion, and its retiring chairman appears to be reaping the benefits.
Exxon is giving Lee Raymond one of the most generous retirement packages in history, nearly $400 million, including pension, stock options and other perks, such as a $1 million consulting deal, two years of home security, personal security, a car and driver, and use of a corporate jet for professional purposes.
Last November, when he was still chairman of Exxon, Raymond told Congress that gas prices were high because of global supply and demand.
"We're all in this together, everywhere in the world," he testified.
Raymond, however, was confronted with caustic complaints about his compensation.
"In 2004, Mr. Raymond, your bonus was over $3.6 million," Sen. Barbara Boxer said.
That was before new corporate documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission that revealed Raymond's retirement deal and his $51.1 million paycheck in 2005. That's equivalent to $141,000 a day, nearly $6,000 an hour. It's almost more than five times what the CEO of Chevron made.
"I think it will spark a lot of outrage," said Sarah Anderson, a fellow in the global economy program at the Institute for Policy Studies, an independent think tank. "Clearly much of his high-level pay is due to the high price of gas."
Exxon defends Raymond's compensation, pointing out that during the 12 years he ran the company, Exxon became the largest oil company in the world and that the stock price went up 500 percent.
A company spokesman said the compensation package reflected "a very long and distinguished career."
Some Exxon shareholders are now trying to pass resolutions criticizing the company's executive pay policies. The company is urging other shareholders to vote against those resolutions.

So I sat down and looked at my budget last night.
besides the feeling of wanting to kill myself I discovered it's costing my 850 bucks a month for the bitch to drive a navigator. I told her that pos is hitting the road before the end of next month.
Mrs Bill: But I love my car.
Bill: Yeah well I love a good cock sucking everynow and then but you don't see me getting what I want now do you.
She didn't say anything after that.
