it's usually the young guys who get transitioned to the "lights-out bullpen guy" during the playoff run.
even if happ is a better starter, he's much more versatile right now than guys like moyer and petey.

the sox are kinda fucked after Beckett and Lester; it looks like Wakefield could actually be the #3 come playoff time. Penny has been mediocre at best, Smoltz has been awful, Buchholz has been lousy since getting called up, and Dice-K will be lucky to pitch again this year. good thing they grabbed Paul Byrd yesterday. yay.

Lidge blew another one last night.I'm somewhat concerned.
Moyer is crying about getting moved to the pen.He says the team mislead him during contract negotiations.As if they promised to keep him in the rotation if he pitched poorly.He's last in era for starters in the league.I can see being upset as a competitor but don't act like the promises only go one way.They promised you something and you promised to pitch fairly well.He hasnt lived up to his end either.I've lost a little respect for him.Thats his cross to bear.
