I think it's kind of funny too. I like to believe he's trying to put his soother in my mouth.

He might be. He also wants you to pretend to eat his arm. He finds that hilarious. Don't do it in the middle of the night. He'll be awake for hours.

Yes. I like to think my 6 month old wants to stick his penis in my mouth.

Yeah, I believe it is. My sister might know better - I might have the wrong term for it. There are many kids that need to calm down somehow, and that's a great way to do it.

:loool: So true.
Restrictive therapy is what a lot of people with ADHD kids try before starting medication.

I have no idea if there is a real name for it or not - if there is I have not heard of it. However, I have learned that you should never restrain any part of a child's body without the proper training to do so. Which, they don't teach in school - so I am not sure where you sign up to learn to properly restrain a child??
We have a few kids in the center who need to be held still so they will fall asleep - little goobers will be out in 30 seconds flat if you restrain them, but won't sleep at all if you don't - and they're not babies anymore.

I don't think they use a ball gag and a butt plug along with the restraints at the center like they do at Casa de MT.

I didn't know it had a name, but when my daughter was in intensive care as a baby (preemie), they wrapped her in a blanket a certain way to keep her comfortable and it was soothing apparently. I called her the burrito baby when they did that.

That's called swaddling, I think this goes further than just keeping them swaddled (or at least applies to older children).

Yup. Most babies tend to grow out of needing to be swaddled in their first few months.
I was thinking about this thread last night. My little guy was just RESTLESS. We don't let him sleep in the bed with us but I was desperate for sleep so I brought him in there. I got punched/slapped no less than 20 times before I got so frustrated, hubby agreed to get up with him and let me try to sleep a little. I feel like a damn zombie today, I hate this.
