So the 2012 NCAA Final four will be held in New Orleans. I can prebuy tickets...
Thoughts bird? $210 gets you into the two final four games and the championship game. I'd like to at least attend the final four...

I've already got a buddy to come with me.... $210 gets you lower level seating for all 3 games and you go into a lottery to get your seats.... New Orleans is only a 2 hour drive...

Its $210 for lower level, 190 for level 2, 170 for level 3.... per ticket.
If you pay the 210 and end up in level 3.. they refund you $40 per ticket. They take until May 30th or until they hit 20,000 applicants.
A random computerized drawing amongst all eligible applications will be held in July 2011. Applicants will be notified in August 2011 whether their application was selected. The NCAA will not publicize results of the process. Ticket books for selected applicants will be mailed no later than mid-February, 2012, via express delivery. Refunds for tickets awarded at a lower price level than initially paid, or for unsuccessful applications, will include the resulting price difference or the full application deposit amount, as applicable, and will be made electronically. Refundable amounts do not earn interest. Applications not selected for tickets at a higher price level will automatically be considered for selection during the random-drawing process for any successive lower price levels.

Now I'm going to have to convince Mrs 8 about me going.. but here is my thinking on the matter.
You have four options when it comes to buying tickets.
1. Best available
2. Reserved 210
3. Reserved 190
4. Reserved 170
Right now i'm thinking of only putting in the reserved 210... Fuck sitting in the 3rd or 4th level of the superdome trying to watch a game. I'd rather watch it at home. Also new orleans is only a 2 hour drive... I could theoretically come back after saturdays games... I may take 8.2 to the championship game. I'd have to ok it with my buddy but I doubt he'd care. I'm super fucking pumped about this. I doubt I ever get a chance to catch the superbowl... but a final four would be 2nd on list of things I'd like to see.

I'd pay $200 to just get in the bldg.Two games for that price is a steal.I'd sell the championship game seats.

I've got a buddy locked in.... May rope him into driving. I'm fucking pumped right now. Got my confirmation in already. I'll find out in July where my seats are... and if I get any.

The tourney this year will be just like last year.. it will depend on matchups. I don't buy Syracuse.. and we all know Cal hasn't done it yet. If Duke has a favorable bracket.. they can make a run. that said I can see them losing in the sweet 16 again as well depending.

Kansas too was undefeated in Big 12 road play this year.
8 straight conference championships. Really try and process that.
Bill Self is arguably the best MCBB coach of the last decade. I know he's at least the winningest.
I was in the building for the KU vs MU game two weeks ago. One of the single greatest moments of my life. Allen Fieldhouse is the greatest place on earth.
