Yeah, I'm not snarg but I may be at least half as old as him. I've seen many great shows and even have the stubs to prove it. One of the greatest bands I have ever seen is Rush. They were my first but not my last. Hell, I thought they were great even when I didn't want to see them.

i guess i would have to say the doors, of people you would know
i saw morrison way before he was pissin' on the crowd
small room, less than 100 peeps, in philly, of all places
the show was awesome, can't even begin to describe it

but the best show i ever saw was sun ra
that was the most complete of all
the fukker was in complete control
if he twitched a facial muscle, it was a particular note from a particular musician

however, now that i think about it, i had some excellent tix to beethoven's fifth, my fave symphony
ny philharmonic
on the first two notes i looked at the old lady sitting next to me (i was not old yet)
we both had tears running down our faces

stones in msg (69 i think) ranks up there as well

seiji ozawa doing ludwig's 8 and 9 at the hollywood bowl in the front row was pretty powerful, too

there are so many, thanks for asking
dewey redmond, wow
fillmore west, east, etc

woodstock is like an afterthought, that is just wrong
of course that large ball of opium took it's toll

I realise that I have a past to break with--an accumulation of inertia, wrong, foolishness, rot, junk.  A great need of clarification, of mindfulness, or rather, of no mind.  A need to return to genuine practice, right effort.  Need to push on the great doubt.  Need for the spirit.  Hang on to the clear light.

mayall was a long time ago, but the show ranks up there, if only for remembering it at all
everyone begged him to do the "chicka, chicka" thing and he finally did
they went wild, he couldn't have cared less

just remembered another great one: frank zappa live
came on, did not say a word
had a tight jazz band, played a set and walked off
he was excellent, tremendous really

So..

when did you see The Doors? What was the name of the place in Philly?

Have you ever had a personal encounter with any of the musicains? Have you ever met any actors/actress?

Rush is $$$, I've seen 'em 3 or 4 times.

Rack Bill Mueller for playing "Tom Sawyer" as his entrance music.
