Got this in an email:
Dear Blueeyedwoman,
Subject: March 15th - Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee in Orange County
We are hosting a reception for Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee at our
office on March 15 and would be honored if you and yours would be our guests
for this special opportunity.
To quote the February 11, Chicago Tribune:
"George W. Bush doesn't have to be concerned with any more elections that
carry his name, but that doesn't mean he isn't intensely interested in the
2008 presidential race.....so Bush....has been know to tell contemporaries
that Sen. John McCain...might not make it.....it might pay to watch a
candidate who is receiving essentially zero attention: Mike Huckabee, former
Governor of Arkansas."
And interestingly, one would have to go back before Franklin Roosevelt to
find a successful ticket from either party that did not include at least one
member from the greater South (the exception being Nixon/Agnew). This fact
will not be lost on any of the three current front runners.
As this primary unfolds, Mike will be a factor. Here's an opportunity to
see personally one of the most remarkable leaders of our time.
