FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- Tom Brady quickly figured out how to play with Randy Moss: throw the ball, then watch in awe.
That approach led the New England Patriots to their third straight rout to open the season. The latest -- and probably not the last -- was a 38-7 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in which Moss scored on touchdowns of 45 and 3 yards.
"He's a mismatch every time he's out there," Brady said. "My job's easy. I've just got to throw it up there."
Now opponents must figure out how to play against the Patriots. A popular preseason pick to reach the Super Bowl, they've given no reason to change that opinion with their third 3-0 start in six years and a 114-35 scoring advantage.
"They're a team with no weaknesses," Bills coach Dick Jauron said. "We knew it could be a long day, and it definitely was for us."
Especially for his secondary. The injury-riddled Bills (0-3) were missing three of their first-string defensive backs.
Then, on the game's first series, they lost quarterback J.P. Losman to a sprained left knee. In the second quarter, rookie linebacker Paul Posluszny sustained a broken left forearm.
Jabari Greer, five inches shorter than the 6-foot-4 Moss, got a rare start. He covered him closely on the long touchdown, but Moss made an over-the-shoulder catch.
"As we say in high school," Greer said, "I got Mossed."
After the Patriots beat the New York Jets and San Diego Chargers by identical scores of 38-14 before dispatching the Bills by an even wider margin, you could say their first three opponents got Brady-ed. The quarterback had his third consecutive brilliant performance, throwing for four touchdowns with no interceptions. He had just six incompletions for the third Sunday in a row.
The Brady-Moss combo has produced five touchdowns and 403 yards receiving. Moss, sidelined for all four exhibition games after being traded from Oakland on April 29, had five catches for 115 yards Sunday. He became the first receiver in NFL history to gain at least 100 yards receiving in each of his first three games with a new team.
The 45-yard touchdown gave him 11,040 yards receiving and made him the 19th player with 11,000 yards.
Brady did lose a fumble at the Bills 1-yard line. But Buffalo couldn't advance from there, and the Patriots got the ball back at the Bills 47. Six plays later, they took the lead for good at 10-7 after Brady threw an 8-yard scoring pass to Benjamin Watson.
"I think he's played well," tough-to-satisfy coach Bill Belichick said. "He's had some other games that were pretty good games. It doesn't really matter. We've got a long way to go."
The Patriots outgained the Bills by nearly 300 yards (485-193). Laurence Maroney had 103 yards rushing and Brady went 23-for-29 for 311 yards. He's completing 79.5 percent of his passes this season.
"The offensive line, the way they performed today was exceptional," Brady said. "We had a lot of holes there in the run game and they did a great job in pass protection."
Brady has been sacked just three times all season.
The Patriots started slowly and trailed 7-3 on Marshawn Lynch's 8-yard run, a lead that held up until Watson scored with 5:08 left in the half. Then New England scored on four of its next five possessions, including touchdown passes of 3 yards to Moss and 4 yards to Jabar Gaffney.
"Randy ran an in route and the defense went with him," Gaffney said, "which allowed me to break wide open."
All four touchdown passes came after Posluszny's injury, which Jauron said may be season-ending.
"It's unbelievable, the whole season so far," Posluszny said. "It's tough to lose guys."
Losman's injury needed to be evaluated, but Jauron called it "pretty severe."
The Bills lost their opener to Denver 15-14. In that game, tight end Kevin Everett sustained a spinal cord injury and defensive backs Ko Simpson and Jason Webster had season-ending knee injuries. Cornerback Terrence McGee, who played the first two games, sat out Sunday with a rib injury.
Watson and Moss have scored in each of their three games. Brady even connected for the first time with another Brady -- tight end Kyle -- for a 20-yard gain. Two plays later, Brady hit Moss for the 3-yard touchdown and the Patriots led 17-7 at halftime.
Losman was replaced by Trent Edwards, a rookie from Stanford who went 10-for-20 for 97 yards in his NFL debut.
The Patriots have won their last eight games against the Bills and haven't lost at home to them since a 16-13 overtime defeat in 2000, Belichick's first year as New England's coach.
Notes
The Bills have gained only 600 yards all season, just 115 more than the Patriots piled up Sunday. ... The Patriots lost two challenges to officials' calls in four seconds. The first followed Brady's fumble with 9:07 left in the second quarter. The next came after Edwards dropped back and the Patriots contended his foot touched the end line for a safety.

Channeling the best Vince Lombardi he could muster, the former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator ripped into his team at halftime on Saturday and No. 14 Boston College responded by pulling away from Army to win 37-17.
"I don't know if I've ever seen him that frustrated or upset," linebacker Jolonn Dunbar said. "He was very unfavorable with our play and our posture. If guys did underestimate Army, it doesn't say much about their character."
Matt Ryan threw for three touchdowns and ran for his first of the season as BC, which led just 16-9 at the half, dominated in the second. Ryan was 35-for-51 for 356 yards before leaving midway through the fourth quarter with the Eagles (4-0) comfortably ahead.
"Our first half of football was as sloppy as we've played all year, and we need to be a lot better," Jagodzinski said. "Now, I'm never going to apologize for a win ... but to get where we want to be, we can't play football like that."
BC hasn't opened the season with four wins since 1999 and hasn't started 5-0 since 1954, when it played its home games at Fenway Park. The Eagles play Massachusetts next week and Bowling Green after that before playing Notre Dame and then five straight Atlantic Coast Conference teams.
Ryan connected with Kevin Challenger nine times for 104 yards and moved into third place on BC's career passing list behind Doug Flutie and Glenn Foley with 6,147 yards. But Ryan also threw two interceptions, one of them caught by Brian Chmura and returned 11 yards for a touchdown that made it 29-17 with 9:22 left in the game.
On the second play of the ensuing possession, Andre Callender went through the line and down the left sideline for a 66-yard touchdown.
"When you put enough points on the board to get the victory, you have to take some positives out of it," Ryan said. "I think there's room for improvement. We have to get better. We were a little sporadic today, but the offense got it going."
Army (1-3) had some success on special teams, with a fake field goal that set up its first touchdown and a long kickoff return that gave them good field position, but didn't do much offensively. The Black Knights managed seven first downs to 34 for Boston College and they were outgained 573-259 from scrimmage.
Carson Williams was 15-for-32 for 191 yards, hitting Jeremy Trimble three times for 81 yards.
"The wound is so fresh, we could dwell on the things we didn't do," coach Stan Brock said. "But there were a number of positives we could take out of this. We're not hanging our heads."

TORONTO - The Boston Red Sox didn't need an interpreter for this: With one quick wardrobe change, Daisuke Matsuzaka went from star pitcher to Teletubby.
"I didn't think there was anything that could make me laugh last night. There was," manager Terry Francona said Monday.
Many teams use a late season trip as a chance to have some fun with the rookies, dressing them in outlandish costumes that must be worn on the flight to the next city. Dice-K had to don the outfit following Sunday night's 4-3 loss to the New York Yankees at Fenway Park.
In addition to Matsuzaka, Boston's veterans dressed reliever Hideki Okajami and outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury as female pirates, pitcher Clay Buchholz as Minnie Mouse and outfielder Brandon Moss as Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz."
"There were some interesting looks, but no international incidents," Francona said.
Third baseman Mike Lowell said Matsuzaka and translator Masa Hoshino - also a Teletubby - wore the funniest outfits.
"That was pretty original, I thought," Lowell said.
Francona said watching Matsuzaka clear customs at Toronto airport was "hilarious."
"Somebody wrote a check for $102 million, and he's going through dressed as a rodent," Francona said.
Francona was pleased that Matsuzaka, an eight-year veteran of the Japanese leagues, had no problem overcoming the cultural barriers and taking the joke.
"I went through this in Philly with (Vicente) Padilla, where he didn't get it and it wasn't good," Francona said. "The way guys handle those things helps the team. We got in at 4 in the morning, but it was a good plane ride."
Lowell said the Red Sox didn't go overboard in dressing up their teammates.
"The guys took it great," Lowell said. "It's a night flight. No one is going to see you. They did it the right way."
It was certainly an easier ride than the time Lowell was forced to dress in hobo clothes as a Florida rookie in 1999.
"There were no stewardesses on the flight," Lowell said. "We had to serve all the drinks and everything."
The costumed ballplayers made for a colorful evening at Toronto's Pearson Airport. Hours earlier, the Baltimore Orioles had pulled the same prank as they left for New York, dressing right-hander Fernando Cabrera in a gorilla suit, right-hander Jeremy Guthrie as a female nurse and left-hander Kurt Birkins as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.
"Customs was probably thinking some guys were pretty weird," Lowell said. "I think they got it. They knew it was a joke."

Boston is notorious for not having many reputable colleges in the area, so I can see why you'd assume I went to a community college.
BC is pretty much the only D1 school in the area that competes on a national level in a variety of sports. I didn't attend a rival school or anything, so I root for BC for the same reasons I root for the Sox and Pats, etc.
