another philly fan
#1

Tough? My ass. Philly fans aren't tough. Philly fans are exactly what Jimmy Rollins said they are. They're front-runners.

Which means they're soft.

All front-runners are, by definition, soft. A front-runner is gutless. A front-runner gets behind a winner, sure, but only gets on a loser. A front-runner takes the easy road. That's what a front-runner does.

...........................
And here's what that tough Philly crowd said when the team returned to Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday:

Wahhhhh.

And booooooo.

:loool:

I realise that I have a past to break with--an accumulation of inertia, wrong, foolishness, rot, junk.  A great need of clarification, of mindfulness, or rather, of no mind.  A need to return to genuine practice, right effort.  Need to push on the great doubt.  Need for the spirit.  Hang on to the clear light.

I want to live in a world where all snarg posts arent directed at me.

Try to find a article by that guy that doesnt just try to stir reaction.Check his hate mail feature to see what I mean.

I've heard New York radio people describe Philly fans as the same as Mets and Yankee fans.Demanding but fair. This aint no mid west hick town with nothing else to do.

Did the Yank fans ever boo A-rod or Jeter?Yes they have.Even Mr Yankee Derek Jeter you say?Yes old man they have.

Moving to mexico has made you soft not us.

"Philly's boo babies bark, can't take Rollins' bite"

"boo babies" i like it

Rollins fought back, and Philly, the tough town that it is, cried its eyes out.

He's fought back by going 0-4 his first game back and then 1-4 last night. What a fighter. He's batting low 200's and has been benched 2 games for being late even though he's supposed to be the teams leader. He's a real class act.

Right, Philly fans? You idiots. There are lots of reasons your town hasn't won a championship in football, baseball or basketball since 1983 (ArenaBowl doesn't count), and why the Phillies specifically have won a single World Series (1980) in 124 years in the big leagues -- and you, the Philly fan, are one of them.

I don't understand why you strengthen my argument as to why Philly fans don't just blindly clap for people by listing how long its been since we won anything. Is this a bizzaro world debate?

No comments on my comparison to New York fans booing an all time great like Derek Jeter?Oh thats right I fucking blew up your point with that observation.

ALL sports fans are babies. Some more than others.

PS Mets won tonight, Phillies lost. Rollins 0 for 4.

2.5 games in front now.

I'd still like Rollins on my team, but never, like I said before, as a trade for Reyes.

Because I'm fucking hardcore I looked at all the box scores for the Phils for the month of August and jotted down Rollins and Howards stats.

8-1 to 8-13 (Pre Frontrunner Comments-Keep in mind Philly fans were not booing either at this point)

Rollins 10-45 1 RS\1 RBI

Howard 9-38 2 RS\6 RBI

8-14 to 8-21 (Post Front Runner Comments)

Rollins 3-28 1 RS\0 RBI

Howard 2-24 0 RS\1 RBI

The moral of this story is if you are playing like shit and not getting booed please don't try to blame it on Philly or we will make your life a living hell.

I like that we are assholes, you've never seen me disagree with that.Frontrunners is a different story.

Mike and the Mad Dog are the radio guys I quoted saying Philly fans are the same as Boston and New York fans.

Chris Russo is no longer on WFAN.
