Jul 26 - One of the Mets' main targets for bullpen help remains Devil Rays closer Danys Baez, The New York Post reports. Tampa Bay's asking price for Baez is very high, although Mets Double-A right-hander Yusmeiro Petit could be in the mix.
Baez, a 27-year-old righty, is making $3.5 million this year and has a $4 million team option for next season or a $1 million buyout.

Unfortunately, Chuck LaMar is insane...he already got Kazmir from the Mets last year for Victor freakin Zambrano...not gonna happen again.

Actually 8, Looper is not as bad as you may think. He's just a target for the fans to hate. Yes, he's blown a few saves, sure.
Mets used to have one of the best farm teams around, now all they do is overpay to try to hit a .550 record and a wildcard bid. It's frustrating.

zambrano has pitched real well this year, fyi
